11 reasons Dave Ramsey’s advice doesn’t work for me

I was a die hard Dave Ramsey fan. His budgeting, debt elimination, and financial planning advice all pointed to a sure path of financial freedom. And for a time, it seemed to be working, at least on the surface. But over time, I found his advice to be misaligned with my life in a number of ways. Some of his ideas were too prescriptive, some didn’t mesh with the real world well, and others were just philosophically “off” to me.
