Up for A Virtual Game or Movie Night?

Online activities make it feel like you’re hanging out with your friends. You can use Teleparty for simultaneous movie watching or play multiplayer games like Jackbox, Among Us & Mario Kart. These virtual nights bring real-time laughs & help you enjoy a happening evening with friends.
Celebrate from Afar

When it’s a birthday or a promotion celebration, you can send them a thoughtful message or a small gift & consider a surprise video call. When you show that you have time to celebrate & the thought to do so, your friendship becomes even stronger.

Catch Up Over Video Calls

Do you wish you could hang out in person and see your friends’ faces? Use video calls! By setting up a routine video communication schedule—whether weekly, biweekly, or monthly—you can stay updated with each other. With tools like Zoom, FaceTime, and Skype, you can keep in touch easily & it’s way better than texting.
Stay in the Loop with a Group Chat

Aren’t group chats amazing? You can keep the connection alive by sending daily updates, funny memes, or sharing random thoughts that cross your mind. Apps like WhatsApp, Messenger & Discord let you stay connected without feeling like you have to text each other all the time.
Send Voice Messages

I feel that voice messages are more impactful compared to texting. When you send a voice message, your tone and emotion come through, helping the receiver grasp the real feeling behind your words. This makes conversations with friends feel more real.
Surprise Them with Letters or Postcards

I know it sounds old-school, but sending a letter or postcard can make someone’s day. There’s something special about receiving something physical from a friend & adding stickers, photos, or little personal touches makes it even more special.
Plan Future Hangouts

Make plans, schedule dates & destinations. Discuss whether you are going to meet in their city, your city, or somewhere else. Planning future activities early keeps the excitement alive & gives you a reason to keep in touch with each other.
Keep Up with Each Other on Social Media

Social media gives a peek into each other’s lives. Show your interest by liking your friends’ posts & reacting to their stories with comments. Even a small reaction from you shows them that they are in your thoughts. You can even send your friends funny reels or nostalgic photos from the past. This will bring back shared memories & give another reason to connect one more time.
Swap Music, Books or Podcasts

You can share songs, books, & podcasts among friends. For instance, you can build a collaborative playlist and enjoy music together or engage with the same book or podcast, which provides new topics to explore together.
Keep Inside Jokes Alive

Do you know another thing that keeps friendship going? Funny inside jokes. They are so special & personal that sharing them through messages or memes brings you closer, even when you’re far far away from each other.
Try a Monthly Challenge Together

My bestie & I challenge each other by writing in a gratitude journal every day for a month. You can try a fitness challenge or start a new hobby, like a 30-day workout. These little goals keep us motivated & give us an excuse to check in regularly.
Don’t Wait—Be the One to Reach Out

Friendships can wither if both people wait for the other to reach out. If you think about your friend, send a quick text like “Hey, how’s your day?” These actions might be small, but they show that you care & keep the friendship in bloom.
