Robocalls & Spam Emails
Getting another “Scam Likely” phone call is the quickest way to ruin your day. And let’s not talk about spam emails constantly promising free cruises and alerting you to your “car’s extended warranty” nearing expiration. No one asks for this digital harassment, but it keeps getting worse.
Resort Fees & Hidden Charges
When booking a hotel, you expect the price shown to be the price you pay, right? Nope! Hotels now charge “resort fees” for pool access (even if you never intended to swim) and “destination fees” for simply existing in the city. It’s like getting charged extra for breathing.

Tipping Culture Confusion
At this point, it feels like everywhere you go, there is an iPad asking you to tip 20%, 25%, or 30% – even when you’re just buying coffee. People generally accept tipping when appropriate; however they find it draining when forced to tip on every single purchase. Why don’t employers just compensate their staff with wages that meet basic living costs?
Traffic Jams
Bumper-to-bumper traffic while staring at endless brake lights is one of the most draining experiences imaginable. No matter if it’s during peak traffic hours or an ordinary Tuesday afternoon, there is always congestion. When Waze announces a “10-minute slowdown ahead,” reality often extends to a full 45 minutes.
Shrinkflation
You open your favorite bag of chips only to discover that there are only 10% chips and 90% air. Businesses continue to sell their goods at the same price or higher even though you receive fewer items – and everyone is expected to silently accept this practice? No thanks.
Political Ads
During every election cycle, TV screens, YouTube channels, and social media platforms, transform into constant battlegrounds for attack ads. Even when you open YouTube to watch a simple cat video, you have to watch a political advertisement that’s twice as long as it should be. Can’t we just vote in elections without enduring constant fear-based political messaging?
Expensive Healthcare
Hospital visits should never feel like risking your entire savings. A medical emergency in the U.S. can generate overwhelming debt, even for those with insurance coverage. Being ill is difficult enough without facing potential financial devastation.
Daylight Saving Time
Every six months, we all wonder why we continue to adjust our clocks. One morning you wake to bright daylight and by the next morning darkness envelopes everything at 5 PM. Changing clocks for Daylight Saving Time disrupts sleep cycles and confuses people – in fact, everyone hates this practice. Why don’t we just stick to one time throughout the whole year?
Long Customer Service Wait Times
“Your call is very important to us… please hold.” Cue elevator music for an eternity. Whether it’s an airline, your internet provider, or your bank, waiting on hold for hours only to get transferred five times (and still not have your issue solved) is beyond frustrating.
Social Media Drama
Social media used to be a platform where people shared vacation photos and funny memes. Now it’s a never-ending cycle of outrage, hot takes, and online arguments. People are just exhausted from the negativity. Can we return to a simpler time where people posted dog videos and shared food pictures?
