A wirelessly connected toaster sounds cool, yet it doesn’t do much more than a regular toaster. You can adjust it on your phone. But why toast bread while you’re sitting on the couch? An ordinary toaster costs less, is simpler to use, and gets the job done without going overboard.
Wi-Fi-Enabled Water Bottle
This water bottle is linked to an app and reminds you to stay hydrated all day long. It even counts the amount you’ve drunk. Keeping water intake up is important, but this thing is costly and pointless. You can save yourself the trouble and expense by using a reusable bottle and a little bit of effort to remember.

The Egg Minder is a smart egg tray that counts your eggs and tells you if they are fresh. It’s linked to your phone to send notifications. But let’s be honest – you can check your fridge and easily test the eggs yourself. Paying for a tray is too much.

This is a sensor hairbrush that will tell you if you’re brushing too hard or if your hair needs special treatment. And it even delivers hair health updates to your phone. As fancy as it sounds, most people don’t require their brush to be a hairstylist. A regular brush and a bit of hair knowledge is enough.

A mug that whisks up your coffee or tea at the touch of a button might be cool but it’s just not practical. It must be charged or plugged in, and it can be difficult to clean. You can do the same with a spoon but without the hassle and expense.

This plant pot waters your plants and reports their status to your phone. It’s useful if you forget to take care of your plants often, but it’s expensive too. Tending plants by hand is a great joy and a little attention can go a long way. This tool takes away that simple pleasure.
