10 types of men women are naturally drawn to within minutes

Attraction can happen for all sorts of reasons, but there are some things that can make a man incredibly attractive almost instantly.

The natural leader

He’s the type of man who doesn’t have to call all the shots just to feel like he’s in charge. If everyone’s trying to decide where to go and nobody can settle on a place, he might propose an idea and take action instead of sitting there talking about where they should go all night.

He tends to speak with confidence, deals with small issues calmly, and doesn’t seem afraid to take charge when the situation calls for it. The difference between a natural leader and a negative domineer is that he also knows how to listen and allow others to share their opinions. This combination of confidence, good decision-making ability, and respect for others is an instant attraction for some women.

The quiet intellectual

He’s probably not one to dominate conversations by being the loudest. Instead, he watches, listens, and only speaks when he has something valuable to add. Conversations with him tend to skip the usual predictable small talk because he’s curious about ideas, people, culture, history, or science, or anything else that truly catches his attention.

He’ll ask an odd question or make an observation that causes you to look at a common subject in a new light. People are drawn to him because they realize there is so much more going on under the surface.

The social charmer

Place him in a room of strangers, and he will likely find someone to strike up a conversation with after just minutes. The social charmer knows how to properly introduce people, how to keep a conversation going, and how to draw out more introverted people in a group so they don’t feel ignored.

He doesn’t have to be the loudest or most innately entertaining person in the room; he just knows how to read the flow of social dynamics. He can be joking with one person and carrying on a serious conversation with another while hopping between groups comfortably. That ease around others can make him seem instantly likable.

The adventurer

Routine isn’t typically his strong suit. He asks questions about new places, new foods, different cultures, weird hobbies, and things that just might take him slightly outside his comfort zone.

He’ll tell you stories about an unplanned road trip he took, or something new he learned how to do. Maybe he’ll mention skydiving for the first time or learning how to say yes when something random came up and intrigued him. People love spending time with him because he welcomes adventure, and life with him might just seem a little less boring.

The protector

Protectors tend to notice when someone needs assistance before being asked. He may escort a friend to her car if it’s late at night, intervene if someone is being treated unfairly, make sure everyone made it home alright, or quietly take the blame if something bad happens.

His nature leans more towards quiet reliability than outward displays of toughness. He doesn’t have to tell you he’s protective because he most likely already shows you through his actions.

The passionate creator

He’s got that one thing he invariably gets quite animated over when it comes up in conversation. Maybe he composes songs, cooks gourmet meals, paints, refurbishes cars, is a photographer, builds furniture with his own hands, codes websites, or is attempting to start his own unusual business. Whatever he does in his free time, he loves what he does.

He loves to make things, or fix things, or create things that weren’t there before. Watching someone get excited about something is contagious. If he starts talking about what he loves to do, even a mundane conversation can become fascinating.

The grounded gentleman

He can almost seem old-fashioned next to those who feel they have to impress a woman from the start. The grounded man is typically courteous, reliable, thoughtful, and at ease with being respectful to others no matter what their station in life is. He remembers his manners, he keeps his promises when he can, and he doesn’t flip some part of his personality based on who walks into the room.

You won’t usually find him stirring up unnecessary fuss or clamoring for the spotlight. What makes him attractive is the sense that the person you get to know in those initial moments is probably pretty much the same person many months down the road.

The playful rebel

He marches to the beat of his own drum and isn’t interested in doing something just because everyone else expects him to. He might have an unconventional job, weird hobbies, his own unique style, or political beliefs that don’t always line up perfectly with those around him.

However, the appealing side of this personality isn’t someone who recklessly disregards rules purely for show, but rather one who’ll challenge them when they seem nonsensical and recognize where boundaries are necessary. Toss in a playful sense of humor and a readiness for spontaneity, and you’ve got a man whose spark some women can’t resist.

The driven achiever

You usually know within minutes whether or not a person has a strong sense of direction in their life. Usually, a driven individual will have clear targets they’re aiming for. He focuses on tangible objectives rather than faraway hopes he expects to magically appear. Maybe he’s building a career, working towards a degree or certification, growing a business, training for a fitness goal, or just working towards a personal goal.

He doesn’t have to be rich or rolling in success. What strikes you is his clear purpose and his readiness to strive for his objectives. Some women find that desirable because it means he has ambition, drive, and direction.

The mysterious introvert

While the social butterfly wants to show you all his colors right away, this man isn’t trying to give away his whole soul in the first five minutes. He could be friendly but shy, choosing to scan the room before diving into it.

He might feel more at ease holding a deep conversation with one person than feeding off the energy of the crowd. And he’ll let you learn things about him slowly, once he knows he can trust you. Since he’s not over-explaining himself or trying to be the center of attention, you’ll wonder what else is going on behind that calm exterior. For some ladies, that mystery can make for a great first impression.
