Dragon fruits look really strange with their bright pink skin and green, scale-like leaves, and spiky exterior. Dragon fruit is filled with white or red flesh dotted with tiny black seeds. It is sweet but not very so.  It’s low in calories (so great as a snack), high in fiber (great for your digestion), packed with vitamin C and antioxidants, rich in magnesium (good for your heart and muscles) and super-hydrating (ideal for a hot day!)

Mangosteen

Mangosteen is a small, round fruit with a thick purple shell. It has a juicy, sweet white flesh inside. It’s a fruit that gives many benefits to your body. It contains a lot of antioxidants, especially xanthones. These promote blood circulation in all parts of the body and reduce inflammation. It is also a good source of vitamin C, which will help your immune system and properly heal any injuries.

Durian is a huge fruit that is also nicknamed ‘king of fruit’ due to its flavor. It has a texture that is softer like a custard, but the outside of the fruit is very hard. Outside, soursop is green and has soft spikes. The inside of the fruit is white and has a sweet and sour taste, sort of like pineapple with a hint of strawberry. It is filled with vitamin C, which helps you protect from illnesses, and with many antioxidants that can kill cancer cells. It is considered to lower stress.

Jackfruit

Jackfruit is a big, spiky fruit that can weigh more than 40 kg. Inside, it has sweet, slippery, yellow flesh. It can be sliced, cooked or shredded, and it is on the rise as a meat substitute, thanks to its texture. Loaded with fibre that keeps your gut healthy, jackfruit also contains lots of vitamin C, potassium and antioxidants. The carbohydrates in jackfruit give you a burst of energy.

Kiwano (Horned Melon)

Kiwano has a bright orange skin with spiky protrusions. The inside is green, jelly-like, slightly sweet but quite tart.
