Constant Interruptions

I don’t like when someone interrupts me while I’m thinking or working. Whether it’s in the middle of a meeting or during an intense project, these distractions interrupt your concentration & you lose your rhythm.
Excessive Complaining

Everyone needs to get it out of their system once in a while, but colleagues who whine about everything from workload to bosses to the freezing weather can bring down the mood. Negativity is contagious & can affect others’ ability to remain motivated or focused. It’s as if you are carrying their burden along with yours.
Over-sharing Personal Drama

As much as it’s wonderful to be able to connect personally with your workmates, you cannot go beyond that. Some people go to the extreme of disclosing everything about their personal life, from love life to family conflicts. They may simply want to be heard, but that is often unmanageable & inappropriate on a busy working day.
Taking Credit for Others’ Work

Nothing disempowers like stolen thunder. If colleagues take credit for an idea or task that you did, it makes you feel unworthy & brings down your morale at work. And it gets uglier when they do it in front of the boss because it affects promotions & opportunities.
Always Late?

When a colleague comes late to meetings or blows deadlines constantly, this routine disrupts everyone else’s schedule. It requires others to cover or wait unnecessarily which is disrespectful.
Eating Smelly Food at Their Desk

Everyone has the right to eat lunch, but bringing food with strong smells into a shared space isn’t fair to others. You might love your garlic pickle, but some of us might not. It’s hard to focus when the whole office smells like it.
Being a Loud Talker

Talking aloud disrupts concentration, whether on the phone or among co-workers. The ringing can detract from your work, leaving you to wear headphones or ask them to put it down — both of which can feel awkward.
Ignoring Personal Hygiene

Unhygienic conditions can make working around such people difficult for all. Body odor, dirty clothes, or forgetting to cover coughs & sneezes — these habits are difficult to deny and it’s tough on coworkers.
Hovering Over Your Desk

When someone squints over your shoulder or waits too close as you’re working, it’s intrusive. It puts unnecessary pressure & interrupts your attention even when they don’t mean to.
Non Stop Gossiping

A little bit of light gossip is harmless, but colleagues who regularly circulate rumors are toxic. Their behavior makes you question if they can be trusted & whether they might be gossiping about you behind your back.
Leaving Messes in Shared Spaces

From unwashed dishes in the sink to spills in the breakroom, it’s super annoying when you have to clean up their mess. It’s disrespectful & makes you feel like you’re coping with someone else’s laziness.
Constantly Borrowing Supplies

A borrowed pen is one thing but some colleagues never return anything they borrow or are always in need. It ruins your day & adds additional stress, especially when you want those items to do your own work.
Micromanaging

Workmates who control every aspect of your work are unbearable. It is as if they don’t believe in your capability. With time, this behavior sabotages trust & makes working together an unpleasant experience rather than a fulfilling one.
