Many fast food workers are hustling hard for paychecks that barely cover the basics. Despite the billions the industry rakes in, most workers are stuck with low wages and not much in the way of benefits. The irony is that while they serve up plenty of calories to customers, they don’t make enough to feed their own families.

Fast food ads make things look better than they are, tricking us into thinking we’re getting something yummier or healthier. It’s truly a letdown—you walk in expecting one thing and walk out with a sad & squished version instead.

The overuse of antibiotics in animal farming for fast food may cause antibiotic-resistant bacteria. That’s bad news for everyone because it makes it harder to treat common infections—all for the sake of cheaper, faster meat. It’s a global health concern that’s only getting more serious. We should all be a bit more aware of this problem.
